Seen-Ling Sim
Seen Ling is a first-year PhD candidate studying at The University of Diamantina Institute working on understanding the cell and molecular biology of human endothelial progenitor cells. She completed her honours research project working on identifying the molecular changes in cancer-associated fibroblasts in a Basal Cell Carcinoma murine model. Following the completion of her study in 2016, she works as a research assistant leading several projects in using fetal endothelial colony-forming cells as cell therapy in different preclinical disease models. Seen Ling has had a long-standing interest in deciphering the molecular regulators in stem cells, particularly those related to driving stem cell functions. Her research focuses on understanding the fundamental biology in endothelial progenitor cells and bridge the translation of ECFC therapy by enhancing ECFC regenerative potential in vivo.
