Jason C Steel
Dr Jason C. Steel is currently a Lecturer and Biotechnology discipline lead at Central Queensland University and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Queensland, Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Steel has had extensive training in cancer gene therapy and cancer immuno-gene therapy. His PhD was in targeting of adenoviral vectors to cancer. He completed post-doctoral training in the Cancer Gene Therapy Laboratory of Professor John C. Morris and the Cytokine Immunology and Immunotherapy laboratory of Dr Thomas Waldmann at the National Cancer Institute, NIH USA where he developed Adenoviral and AAV vectors for gene and immunotherapy for cancer. Dr Steel continued this research in his previous faculty positions at the University of Cincinnati and University of Queensland before taking up his current position at CQU.
