Xiuyan Wang
Dr Wang has extensive training in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Virology, and Immunology during her graduate and postdoctoral studies. She is currently the Assistant Director for the Cell Therapy and Cell Engineering Facility at MSKCC with more than 8 years of hands-on cGMP experience. Dr Wang has in-depth understanding and skills of large-scale manufacturing for clinical grade retroviral and lentiviral vectors; large-scale transduction and expansion of T cells and hematopoietic stem cells. She is familiar with quality control, and the FDA and NIH regulations and rules. In addition to overseeing the cGMP manufacturing activities, which support 9 on-going phase I/II clinical trials, Xiuyan is in charge of the research and development, tech transfer and the patient pre- and post- infusion immune monitoring studies. She currently holds a faculty position in the Department of Pharmacology as Assistant Laboratory Member. Dr Wang is also a consultant for large-scale cGMP Cell Processing, Manufacturing and Quality Control.
